Peter Scott joined the Royal Australian Navy as a Midshipman in 1983. Commodore Scott’s led active service in Iraq, the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. He was awarded a Commendation for Distinguished Service in the Australia Day Honours having previously been decorated with the Conspicuous Service Cross.

Commodore Scott served as Director General Submarines and Head of the Submarine Profession and was appointed as the inaugural Director, Defence NSW in June 2017.

Scott lives in Sydney and enjoys spending time with his wife Shaunaugh Worthington, their daughter Laura and the family dogs. His outdoor interests include cycling and competing in the occasional ultra marathon.
